Remote controlled traveling loop
The remote controlled travelling loop was designed to be easy assembled, disassembled and carried to any place.
The antenna covers from 7 MHz to 29.6 MHz and incorporates a new concept to drive the variable capacitor at the same time that gives a frequency reference to an analog meter on the control box.
The secret is a small motor actuated volume control potentiometer normally find in audio home systems.
The potentiometer shaft turns simultaneously the variable capacitor and the potentiometer.
The potentiometer terminals are used in series with a 12VDC alkaline battery to supply the analog reference to the control box showing the resonance frequency on a sensitive meter modified scale.
